The Amber Laurel Correctional Centre is an intake and transit facility in western Sydney. It manages newly arrested or charged inmates as well as those who have been refused bail and facing court.
The facility accommodates operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week to receive offenders and remandees directly from NSW Police and the courts.
Amber Laurel also features audio-visual facilities linked to courthouses to enable some court matters to be heard from within the centre, including those held on Saturday, Sunday and Public holidays.
