The Victims Support Scheme helps people who have been injured as a result of a violent crime or modern slavery in NSW. This Application for Support allows primary victims to apply for counselling and financial support, secondary victims to apply for counselling, and parents or guardians of child primary victims to apply for financial assistance for economic loss.

This guide provides information about the support available through the Victims Support Scheme for a person who has been injured as a direct result of an act of violence or modern slavery (primary victim), a person who has been injured as a direct result of witnessing an act of violence (secondary victim) and/or a parent, step-parent or guardian who is caring for a child who has been injured as a direct result of an act of violence or modern slavery.
