Become an approved counsellor

If you are a current approved counsellor, you can access resources and update your details through the Approved Counsellor Portal.

Victims Services invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals interested in becoming an approved counsellor under the Victims Support Scheme.

The Scheme provides counselling to victims of violent crime and modern slavery who often have complex trauma symptoms.

Approved counsellors play a vital role in helping victims recover from the impacts of crime and modern slavery.

Sessions can be delivered in-person, by phone, or online.

The Victims Support Scheme provides counselling, financial assistance and a recognition payment to eligible victims who have been injured due to a violent crime or modern slavery in NSW. For more information about the scheme, visit Victims Support Scheme.
